Andrejs Osokins

Latvian classical concert pianist Andrejs Osokins is a laureate of the world’s most prominent piano competitions, including Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv, the Long-Thibaud International Competition in Paris, the Leeds International Piano Competition and the Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition in Brussels, as well as a laureate of the 5th International German Piano Award presented by International Piano Forum in Frankfurt. He was described by critics as impeccably stylish, praised for his powerful intellect and charisma, wide expressive sound palette, notably convincing in many different styles of music. 

Andrejs has had the honor of performing with prestigious orchestras including the National Orchestra of Belgium, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Manchester’s The Hallé Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Dublin’s RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Kremerata Baltica orchestra, Latvian National Symphony orchestra, and under button of Sir Mark Elder, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Marin Alsop, Yuri Simonov, Bojan Videnov, Pablo Mielgo, Andris Poga, Ainārs Rubiķis and James Judd.

Andrejs’ performance diary has included recitals in many high profile recital venues including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Great Hall of Konzerthaus Berlin, Frankfurt’s Alte Oper, Milan’s La Verdi concert hall, National Concert Hall in Dublin, Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, the St Martin in the Fields and Kings Place concert hall in London, Gasteig concert hall in Munich, La Monnaie concert hall in Brussels, Opera Comique in Paris and the Symphony Hall in Birmingham. Osokins is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM), London. In 2008 Andrejs Osokins was awarded with «The Great Music Award», which is the highest form of state recognition in the field of music in Latvia.

Andrejs Osokins ir pasaules nozīmīgāko starptautisko pianistu konkursu – Rubinšteina konkursa Telavivā, Margaritas Longas un Žaka Tibo konkursa Parīzē, Līdsas konkursa, Karalienes Elizabetes konkursa Briselē laureāts un Starptautiskā Pianisma Foruma laureāts. Latvijas Lielās Mūzikas Balvas laureāts koncertējis kopā ar neskaitāmiem orķestriem, tostarp ar Beļģijas Nacionālo simfonisko orķestri, Francijas Radio filharmonijas orķestri, orķestri Kremerata Baltica, Mančestras Hallé orķestri, Dublinas Nacionālo simfonisko orķestri, Londonas filharmonisko orķestri un Latvijas Nacionālo simfonisko orķestri, sadarbojoties ar tādiem diriģentiem kā sers Marks Elders, Vladimirs Fedosejevs, Marina Alsopa, Jurijs Simonovs, Bojans Videnofs, Pablo Mieglo, Andris Poga, Ainārs Rubiķis, Džeimss Džads un citiem. 

Andrejs Osokins regulāri sniedz meistarklases Latvijā un ārvalstīs, kā arī vada savu klavieru klasi Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas akadēmijā. 2018. gadā Andrejam Osokinam piešķirts prestižais Asociētā biedra statuss (ARAM) Londonas Karaliskajā mūzikas akadēmijā.
